Iron Road Railways / Bangor and Aroostook Railroad System


The original Bangor & Aroostook Railroad expanded its business over the Canadian Pacific Montreal,QC - St. John,NB line via Northern Maine. The railroad was restructured in a network owned by Iron Road Railways that included:
- Bangor & Aroostook Railroad (BAR),
- Canadian American Railroad (CDAC),
- Logistics Management Systems (LMS),
- Northern Vermont Railway (NVR),
- Quebec Southern Railway / Chemin de fer Quebec-Sud (QSR),
- Van Buren Bridge Company
In October 2001, their bankrupt operations were taken over by the new Montreal, Maine and Atlantic (MMA) owned by Railworld.
