The train names inside the brackets "(...)" have been recently replaced by the name of the city they serve and/or have followed the others "(Ex-...)" that are refered by their number since 20+ years. E.G. The Ocean is now the Montreal-Halifax and the Citadelle is known as the train 22.

The old names were those historically associated with the train numbers. They do not necessarily operate now to the same destination and on the same schedule.
In the 1980's, the name "Frontenac" was assigned to trains 24 and 25, but it was reassigned to the new trains 26 and 27 in the 1990's. At that time, trains 24 and 25 used the name "Chaudiere".
In the 1980's, the name "Lakeshore / Riverain" was assigned to trains 43 and 44, but it was reassigned to the trains 42 and 43 in the 1990's. The train 44 was then paired to train 45 and named Rideau.
