According to what I found, two locations (mill and general store) bidded on hosting the future town of Béthanie church and the rest of the new village. Today, the mill location (officially located in Valcourt Township), Boscobel, is almost abandonned. Several Béthanie houses are abandonned too. However, the town seems to slowly reborn again since the last years.
