It is the last decade where Topps and O-Pee-Chee were the only major manufacturers. Note that 1982-83 and 1983-84 have seen no Topps hockey card distributed. Also, 1981-82 have some cards marked as East \/ West as a part of this set was different accordly to the part of the United States the cards came from.
